With Tartar Sauce Recipe
Enjoy a fun twist on our classic Big Boy Sandwich
- Prep time: 10 minutes
- Cook time: 6-7 minutes
- Total time: 17 minutes
Makes 2 pizzas
Ingredients:
- 2 pre-made pizza crusts (e.g., Mama Mary’s)
- 8 slices American or pepper jack cheese
- 12 oz meatless crumbles (e.g., Quorn or Beyond Meat)
- OR 1 lb cooked, drained ground beef for a classic variation
- 1 jar each of Classic and Spicy tartar sauces (drizzle to taste)
- 8 oz shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1 cup dill pickle chips, chopped
- Olive oil (for brushing crust)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Brush olive oil over the entire top of each crust, being sure to go all the way to the edge.
- Use sliced cheese to cover pizza crust. Some pieces will overlap.
- Sprinkle meatless crumbles (or cooked ground beef) over the cheese, dividing evenly between the two pizza crusts.
- For softer crust, place on baking sheet. For crispier crust, place directly on oven rack. Bake for 6-7 minutes or until cheese is bubbling and crust is slightly browned.
- Remove from oven and place on cutting board. Let rest for 1 minute, then cut into 8 wedges.
- Drizzle the two varieties of tartar sauce on individual pieces, letting some sauce drip over the edges. (This will make it easier to easily identify the type of sauce.)
- Top with shredded lettuce and chopped pickle.
Enjoy!
